Your Self Sufficiency - Solar Power Cooking |
| Energy - Solar Power |

Here we have a video and article on how to cook with Solar power - in this article we show how Green Power Sciences has made a simple yet delicious meal of sphagetti with healthy ingriediants with a dash of sunshine! The setup is pretty basic but you can make this system work using a combination of systems rather than just solar power alone.
Here we have a setup which is based upon slow cooking but with very little oversight and energy cost - whilst being able to feed a group or community of people using this safe but slow way of heating and keeping food warm after being cooked. The important thing to note is that this setup is rather simple but if you look at the advantages of solar power cooking, not only does it cost nothing to utilise but you can determine the environmental benefits of using solar not just becuase it is not using fossil fuels but because your fuel source comes in cycles! If your combine the power of solar power panels with a protonic membrane setup with a reserve of deep cycle batteries, you'd have a semi mobile power system which could be hooked up to a set up like this to speed up the whole cooking process! we will be looking at how to cater on the move later on but solar power is your best friend when you have run out of natural gas or propane is running low!
This next video is an example on how using solar energy can be used to roast/bbq your favourite meals - Not only does it look delicious, it is also very adaptable as you will have learnt from our other articles on this site. Hopefully we will be able to sell energy units on this site very soon but for now this can be attempted by you and your community by first choosing whether you would like to use wind or solar or alternative energy source - but for those bright days you could set up a slow cooking or fast cooking rig up just by following the examples in these videos. We do recommend you to learn about all energy systems available as not only will the environment benefit from your conservative approach to cooking, but you dont end up using wood as a 'resource' for heating and cooking, but also because with a combination of systems linked up, you'd be able to scale up or down a system which will be mobile and also VERY EFFECTIVE at providing energy for storage and immediate use! If you can wait - you could even bake stuff like bread or cakes with a suitable set up!
These videos are to show how much fun and practical work which goes into building and using such systems!
